What I Learned About Writing and Reading in English Today

What I Learned About Writing and Reading in English TodayWhat I learned about writing and reading in English today. Every now and then a student will read a particular passage in a paper or another student will take part in an essay and the student who read the passage will be out of his or her area. Before writing this essay, I want to touch upon some common things students will find the most helpful. The first thing to consider in writing an essay is, you are not the target audience. This means you do not have to necessarily write in the same way your teacher tells you to do. As you'll soon find out, one of the most common mistakes that students make is putting too much thought into what is being said. Rather than focusing on the ideas being used in the paper, try to put yourself in the position of the reader, not the presenter. However, that does not mean you have to rely on something you've read. Take the time to listen to the audience, however, if you have done so beforehand. At t he very least, you will need to consider taking a step back and look at the article from a different point of view. You could begin by reviewing any points that make the essay interesting or difficult. Many times students will be led to take specific points in the essay and use them to support their argument. However, it is not always necessary to have your own opinions or reasons for what is being said. Instead, examine the material with a different and unbiased eye. Instead of focusing on what you want to say, let your thoughts change to reflect the change in circumstances.Another thing to consider is to avoid what are often referred to as, techniques and skills. The reader is not necessarily looking for your personal technique or knowledge. The same is true in your writing. One of the problems that many students face is writing something that is too academic. Rather than writing as a student, write as a passive reader. In regards to the last part of the problem, writing is not alwa ys as simple as it may seem. If you are writing an essay, it's likely that the words you are using are the subject of discussion. Every single word you use can mean something. In fact, it is important to practice words for example. There is a difference between a mundane word and a useful word, so let your mind open to its creative possibilities. One of the most important thing that you can do is find someone to critique your work. The student can read your paper and point out certain words or ideas that may not seem appropriate or helpful. There is also the possibility of the student noting certain things that you may have overlooked. It can also help to have a friend read through your essay and give you some extra input.
